This page is here to help with the assembly of the Kronos Flyer in the Servo Magazine series I created.
Attach the motor assembly to the motor platform using four #4-40 x 1/2" machine screws and lock nuts as shown below.
The completed assembly should look like the one shown below. Note that depending on the motors you select the appearance my differ than the one shown here.
Take four #6-32 x 1" machine screws and insert a #6 washer on each. Insert the screw and washer into the corner holes of one of the platforms. Run the screw through the boom hole shown. Add another platform and then a washer and hex nut.
Once complete the assembly should look like the one shown here.
Place a #6 washer on a #6-32 x 2" machine screw. Insert the screw into the next hole from the under side of the assembly, as shown below. Add a washer, 1/2" nylon spacer and #6-32 hex nut.
As before, the completed assembly should look like the one shown here.
The corner holes on the power distribution board needed to be widened. Use a 9/64" drill bit for this.
Insert a #6-32 x 1-1/2" machine screw into one of the corner holes in the distribution board. Add a washer and then thread the screw through the hole nearest the end of the boom. Repeat the process with the other three holes on the power distribution board.
Once installed the the battery connector will be at the rear of your craft, as shown below.
