First, what is a legacy dust shroud? It is the original dust shroud that used four screws to slide into holes in the base of the AirExchanger. The trend is to move toward the the newer magnetic dust shroud. The legacy dust shroud is a shroud make and assemble yourself. The magnetic dust shroud is purchased as a kit.

Legacy dust shrouds work with the following AirExchangers:

  • Legacy K2CNC AirExchanger
  • Legacy Direct Connect AirExchanger
  • AirExchanger Basic

Please note that if an AirExhanger has been upgraded to a magnetic base the legacy shroud will not longer fit.

The following are the Gcode and drawing files for the dust shrouds. Note that the gcode file is meant for 1/4" acrylic and the router bit shown below. If you decide to use another material or bit, you will have to use the drawing file to make your own G-code.

We sell laser cut brush material.  They can be purchased here: Brush Kits

You can purchase the bit used to make the dust shrouds here:

Onsrud 63-610

This router bit is to be used on acrylic with the above G-code. If you want to use another material such as plywood or MDF, you should use a standard two flute router bit.
