Let's get the KRmc01 homing switches wired up to the MASSO.  The mounting and switch wiring is covered in the upgrade workbook.

 

MASSO Configuration

The first thing you need to do is to add the homing switches to inputs 2, 3, and 4, as shown here.

The next step is configure the homing sequences using the Homing form shown here.

Set the X axis

  • Distance Per Rev: 1
  • Pulses per Rev:10000
  • Max Feed: 100
  • Accel: 10
  • Travel Min: 0
  • Travel Max: 12

 

Set the Y axis

  • Distance Per Rev: 1
  • Pulses per Rev: 10000
  • Max Feed: 100
  • Accel: 10
  • Travel Min: 0
  • Travel Max: 4.9

Set the Z axis

  • Distance Per Rev: 1
  • Pulses per Rev:10000
  • Max Feed: 30
  • Accel: 1
  • Travel Min: -20
  • Travel Max: 20

 

Wiring the Homing Switches

The KRmc01 Upgrade workbook takes you step by step through the process of installing your homing switches. 

As per the workbook the switches are all wired together.  Instead of connecting the switches to the G540 and ground, they are instead, connected to the MASSO input terminal 2 and the 12v terminal block.

You then need to add a small jumper between input terminals 2 and 3, and input terminals 3 and 4.

Activating the Homing Sequence

To activate the homing sequence you need to be in the F2 or F3 screen.  Hit the CTRL + ALT + Home buttons to start sequence.

Note that the homing sequence sets the machine cords.

 

Warning

If one of you homing switches is making contact before you start a homing sequence, the MASSO gets confused.  One or more of the axis may move in a direction its not supposed to. This could cause it to crash.

Eventually the MASSO will give an alarm and stop.
