I was working on the new upgrade book for the KRmc01 and was having problems cutting the ends of some compressed PVC for the cover sides. I decided to make some simple supports that could be used to support the ends of overhanging stock when attached to the vise.  They worked so well I thought I would share them with you.


The support consists of three components.

  • 2, 3/4" x 1-1/2" x 1/8" pieces of aluminum stock
  • 1, 3/4" x 1-1/4" x 1/8" pieces of aluminum stock

A 3/8" hole is drilled into the end of each piece as shown below.

The supports are used with standard clamp hardware, as shown below.


The support can also be used as a vise stop, as shown below.

Works just as well on the KRMx02 CNC router. Here I am using 1/4" posts and hardware.
