Dios Robot Board Carrier

 If Uses a 40 Pin Dios Chip (Sold Separately) and a special Ares Coprocessor.  This Coprocessor has a built-in servo controller for 4 servos.  You can also plug in a SN754410 chip and control 2 motors as well.

The Dios Robot Board board is a robot board was formerly known as the Ares board.  It is now sold as the carrier board in which case you purchase the Dios separately.

ZPU

The DiosPro can also be programmed by the ZeusPro software. 

When used as a ZPU you can use your Desktop PC or Pocket PC to interface to the real world.

Chip Features

Note that the DiosPro is a feature rich replacement chip for the Dios.  It has twice the memory and more functionality.  It is pin for pin replacement.  Simply add the DiosPro declaration at the start of your program.

The Dios Pro  comes in 40 pin and 28 pin form factors.  The only difference is the number of IO ports available.

Language Features

The Dios chips use a version of basic that is similar to Visual Basic.  The Dios Compiler software is free and can be downloaded here.

Carrier Boards

4 Carrier boards are available for the Dios chips.  All Dios carrier boards offer the ability to swap the transmit program port via jumper.  They all include the required 10Mhz resonator and support components.  All the boards but the Dios Carrier 1 board are designed for the 40 pin DiosPro and have built in power regulators and RS232 drivers for programming.

All Carrier boards are sold in both kit and fully assembled forms.

Please note that carrier boards do not include microcontroller chips.  The chips are sold separately.

If you don't want to use one of our carriers you will need a few extra components.

We have a Dios component kit available for your own circuits

It includes a .1uf Capacitor, 10uf Capacitor, 10K Resistor and a 10Mhz Resonator.

You will need a RS232 Driver as well if you are not using carrier #4.
